Does anyone know of a good online or accessible resource to learn about religions. A sort of compare and contrast.

Maybe a initial general overview of several, then a deeper study of a few.

Thank you,

Well,
http://www.beliefnet.com
explains a few and there are some really good sacred writings at
http://www.sacred-texts.com
There's a wonderful page at
http://www.about.com/religion/
with unbiassed explanations on all sorts of religions and newsletters for several. Each religion has it's own about.com guide, so they're really experts at what they write. Then, of course, there's
http://www.wikipedia.com
though some of their writings might not be accurate. Hope that helps and good luck.

Another one is
http://www.religioustolerance.org
Like the other sites, it has articles explaining about different religions/beliefs, as well as what those religions believe about specific issues, essays by people of specific religions/beliefs, and other stuff.

Thank you all. I look forwar to checking out the resources you offered.

One place I found on my own:
http://www.religion-online.org/

I've enjoyed reading some of the articles there.

Thanks again
